It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has won it all.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to maintain a record if never given the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her latest masterpiece.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her debut and seven global championships have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort can be debated.

Some will argue the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Others can counter with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it's been a frustrating experience because it seemed I've had no rhythm whatsoever," said Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the right-hander was underway.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was out Australia required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last competing nations at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.
